Ward Roney Jr

Ward William Roney Jr., embodied the true spirit of service—to his country and his community.
A proud U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, Ward served with distinction in the 31st Infantry Regiment, the “Polar Bears.” His devotion to his fellow soldiers extended into a lifelong commitment to veterans and to his neighbors in Monroe and beyond.

After returning home, Ward continued to serve through agriculture, civic leadership, and countless acts of quiet generosity. Whether tending the fields of his Roney River Ranch, co-founding HerbCo International, or mentoring others in recovery, Ward led with humor, humility, and heart.

His strength, perseverance, and compassion continue to inspire the members of Ward Roney Jr. VFW Post 7511, which proudly bears his name and carries forward his enduring legacy of service.
